Grace

We allow the gift of the Father’s love, through the gospel of Jesus, to continually transform & define who we are by the work of the Holy Spirit.

  • Abiding with Christ, we priorise “being over doing”.
  • Our identities and approval come from being children of God.
  • Every day, we strive to live in Christ’s salvation, with our worth found in His justification.
  • Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, we receive authority.

Formation

We intentionally practice counter-cultural Kingdom values together as we walking out our discipleship with Jesus and others.

  • Prioritising Kingdom formation over cultural formation.
  • Being spiritually empowered to live spiritual practices.
  • Transformation through the renewing of our minds.
  • Seeing the Fruit of the Spirit lived out in us.
  • Actively engaging in Spiritual Gifts.
  • Being generous through finances, energy, and time in building each other up.
  • Pursuing sanctification as the ongoing process of resembling Jesus in our thoughts, actions, and desires.

Table

We invite and include all at the table, contributing to and learning from the rich-tapestry woven into God’s family & plan for humanity.

Mission

We partner with Christ in His missional mandate to make disciples of all nations and seek the spiritual, social & cultural renewal of our city.

  • The Great Commission: “go into all the world and make disciples”
  • Work: our work can be worship
  • Justice: God is just and calls his followers to love the poor and oppressed
  • Mercy: “doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly.”
  • Renewal: God’s light overcome’s darkness
  • We commit to intercession and prayer for the needs of our world.

What We Believe

As a C3 Church, we hold to orthodox Christian belief with its foundation in the Bible and summarised in the Apostles Creed & Nicene Creed.

  1. We believe that there is one God, eternally existing as three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  2. We believe in God the Father, the Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, all things visible and invisible.
  3. We believe that God the Son, Jesus Christ, is Lord.  We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His victorious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His constant intercession for His people and in His imminent return and everlasting reign.
  4. We believe in God, the Holy Spirit, who is God’s presence and power on the earth. He reveals Christ to people. He inhabits and transforms the lives of believers. We believe in His ongoing role to empower the Christian life.
  5. We believe in the existence of an unseen spiritual realm and beings, including the great enemy of God and man, Satan, who led a rebellion against God and wars against Him and mankind to this day. We believe Christ has triumphed over darkness and this victory will be seen into eternity.

  1. We believe that on account of sin, all people are spiritually lost and in need of salvation, which God gives by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ. We affirm the resurrection of the dead, both the saved and the lost, the first to everlasting life and the latter to everlasting separation from God.
  2. We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, living and active. It is God’s revelation to humanity, inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is authoritative, timeless truth and is the foundation of all Christian doctrine.
  3. We believe that Christian marriage was established by God, confirmed by Jesus, and is between a man and a woman. We believe that sex is a gift from God designed for intimacy and procreation within marriage.
  4. We believe that the church is the body of Christ. We believe that God’s people are to regularly gather to worship, to pray, to receive teaching from the Word of God and Communion.
  5. We are a Pentecostal movement. We believe in the operation of spiritual gifts, which are given to believers for the upbuilding of the church. This includes the gift of tongues. We believe that all Christians can expect to be baptised in the Holy Spirit and can experience being filled with the Holy Spirit on innumerable occasions.
